Boys will be Boys

May 1, 2011
We have the style of high chair that buckles onto the chair, and it has always been great and convenient. By accident it was sitting on the chair not buckled and Jer and I both had no idea that it had been off the chair so we didn't check the buckles. We put him in his chair for breakfast and both left the room to get ready for church, I was brushing my teeth and Jeremy was picking out his tie.  We heard a big crash and a horrible scream that didn't even sound like Cash.  We found him still buckled in his high chair face down on the tile crying/screaming. It was horrible.  His chin was split open and it was immediately obvious that he would need stitches. It wasn't bleeding to bad, but he didn't want anything touching it.  The Instacare was closed so we had to take him to the emergency room.  The wrapped a bandage all the way around his head with a numbing gel on a cottonball, while they were doing it I knew there was no chance he was going to leave it on.  I was right. I suggested a bandaid ro hold it on the cut (I am so smart) it worked. After it had been on there long enough the doctor strapped him down to a board (horrible) and gave him 3 stitched. He was so brave.
It was SO hard to see him hurt. I felt so guilty!  I know this wont be the last time my little guy gets hurt, I can't prevent it because he is a crazy boy and he has a crazy dad to look up to. But I will teach him safety first, and I will be there everytime to love him up and kiss it better.

This is the cutest video ever. He was barely starting to answer questions then.
